Pinnacle Roofing was on-site with Global News Okanagan discussing the realities of working through the summer heat across Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, and the Okanagan. Hear Victor and Simran talk about the challenges of staying cool, hydrated, and safe while working on rooftops during extreme temperatures.
At Pinnacle Roofing Ltd., the safety of our team always comes first. We conduct daily safety checks, hold toolbox meetings on recognizing the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and encourage every crew member to work at a pace they’re comfortable with. During extreme heat, many of our crews finish earlier in the day to avoid the hottest afternoon temperatures.
With more than 60 team members working in the field, keeping everyone safe is a huge responsibility—one we take very seriously. While productivity may slow during heat waves, there’s nothing more important than making sure every employee gets home safely at the end of the day.
